What the EFAW+F Course Involves
Learners will gain hands-on experience in both standard first aid and forestry-specific emergencies, including:
Core EFAW Skills
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and use of an AED
- Choking
- Minor and major bleeding
- Shock
- Minor injuries
Forestry +F Enhanced Content
- Catastrophic bleeding control (including tourniquets and haemostatic dressings)
- Chainsaw and severe trauma injuries
- Crush injuries and suspension trauma
- Remote incident management and casualty care
- Casualty evacuation considerations in rural/woodland environments
- Communication and emergency planning in isolated areas
